Periodontal Splinting

Periodontal splinting involves stabilizing weak or loose teeth by attaching them together, turning them into a single unit that is more stable and stronger than individual teeth alone. The procedure is most commonly performed on front teeth. Splinting can be accomplished using composite (bonding) material, mesh or crowns. This process helps extend the life of periodontally involved teeth.
